Workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

The Workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis organized by the University Research Council was successfully concluded on the 14th and 15th of March 2024. It was Hosted over two days, and the workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses effectively.
The first day of the workshop, focusing on systematic review methodologies, took place at the PGIHS Auditorium. Participants delved into the intricacies of systematic review processes, learning how to formulate research questions, conduct literature searches, appraise study quality, and synthesize evidence systematically.
On the second day, held at the IT Center of the University of Peradeniya, the focus shifted to meta-analysis techniques. Attendees gained insights into the statistical methods used to combine and analyze data from multiple studies, enabling them to draw robust conclusions and make informed decisions based on the synthesized evidence.
Throughout the workshop, esteemed resource persons shared their expertise and insights, enriching the learning experience for all participants. We were honored to have the following distinguished individuals as resource persons:
